Doug & Lindsey // engaged

These two. Sometimes I ask myself why I’m so frequently present for some of the happiest and most memorable moments of people’s lives. Yes, I may have been asked to be someone’s photographer, but there are other times when it’s truly a privilege to be present for a few minutes of someone’s life. This is how I felt with Doug & Lindsey just moments after Doug popped a knee. Over the past few years my friendship with Doug has gone through a lot, and I’m happy and honored to call him a friend and brother. There are few people that have spoken such truth, both challenging and encouraging, into my life as Doug. If you’ve gotten to know him much, you can attest to his intentionality in relationships and conversations, something that’s hard to come by in a friend. Lindsey is just as great a person, and I’ve loved knowing her and seeing her and Doug’s relationship grow into what it is today; they balance and complement each other perfectly. I’m incredibly excited for their lives together, and I’m so glad I was asked to capture their engagement! [These two are just too cute, and I love their love for people!]
