These are two great people and I’ve absolutely loved getting to know them more through photography. This wedding had so many details and it was a joy capturing them all. Everything (and I mean everything) was so well thought out and beautiful too!
I have to say, watching a crowd of friends and family whole-heartedly participating in traditional folk dances was a joy to witness, and a sight you don’t often see these days. Apart from the wedding party’s decided advantage from the prior night’s training session, it was great to see people learning each dance step by step and having such a fun time together! Peter & Aneta are super down to earth, and this wedding reflected their love for their friends, family, and each other.
I loved witnessing them hang out with their friends at their wedding and really care about each and every person there. I’m excited for these two as they begin their life together, and as they continue to pursue their friends with genuine love and respect.
Growing up in the Michels family, my grandparents put great emphasis on the cousins knowing each other and keeping in touch despite the miles between us. It was a great honor and encouragement when my cousin asked that I be the photographer at her wedding. Seeing the family together and being there to capture all their special moments was super fun. I recently had the chance to spend the afternoon wandering around some landmarks of Lansing with Katie & Pete. I’ve somewhat known both of them for a few years, but it’s been great to get to know them better in the recent weeks, and it was super fun to wander around our great city together. Harvest time! Comfy sweaters, hay rides, pumpkin ales, hot cider, apple orchards – nobody can say no to all the goodness that this time of year brings. Peter & Aneta asked me to join them as they revisited the site of their first date: The Country Mill in central Michigan. I really enjoyed working with them, and we had a ton of fun picking apples, eating apples, and grabbing some photos in the process. Enjoy this look at their very autumnal engagement photos!
