A snapshot of the Philadelphia Michels in a few passing moments.
This past February I escaped the blowing snow of Michigan for the warm sun of the Golden Coast. This was my first visit to California and I honestly think I fell for the West Coast life. Everything seemed so laid-back and easygoing. What shocked me most was that people actually waited at a crosswalk if it said “don’t walk” – a far cry from the midwesterner’s hurry to cross the street. Seriously though, I couldn’t get over this!
As an added bonus, I was able to explore the great city of San Francisco with my oldest brother. Tasting the brews of many a local coffee shop, biking the Golden Gate, taking in the sunrise from the pier, and enjoying a (post) sunset picnic on the ocean together – yeah this is what vacation is supposed to be.
I’m pretty much decided that this is a necessary trip to repeat in the coming year.
Seeing the Mrs. Doubtfire house was one of the few items on my list of ‘have-to’ see places in San Francisco. I was pretty much raised with that movie. So glad I made it!
